Artist's Comments

A spotted jaguar at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. He was actually sitting right up by the glass and while he shut his eyes for a little rest, I was able to take this shot. It was probably the closest I've ever been to a jaguar (and yes, there was glass, but still). Very impressive creatures jaguars are. (There's the Shakespeare getting to me again.) Hope you like it.

Comments much appreciated.

wow, this is a really great pic, and i like the way u've used black and white, it's really empisised the jaguars coat and the fact he's sleeping/resting, nicely done ^^

Thank you so much for the compliment Suzy!
Yeah, I have a tendency to black and white everything, lol. But it's just so addictive, you know? Making your photos black and white give your photos all the mood/atmosphere. Must... stop... black and whiting... photos. :D

Hahahaha! Thanks so much. :D I was pretty lucky I have to admit. Usually, the jaguars (like most animals at the zoo) are hiding in their caves or something. That bugs me. :D
